I'm Debbie from California and I've been on the Ozempic journey for a good 4 months now... started with the 0.25, then went up to the 0.5, and now I'm trying out the 1mg, been on it for about a month and a half. Let me tell you about the whirlwind of side effects I've been experiencing:
1: Unexpected diarrhea. Honestly, this is the worst. It's gotten to the point where I'm scared to leave the house in case there's no bathroom nearby (or even worse, there's a line!). Yeah, I've had a few close calls, it's not fun.
2: Constant fatigue. I just feel drained, all day, every day. It's like I can't catch up on sleep, no matter how much I try.
3: Loss of appetite. I used to love indulging in my favorite foods, but now eating just feels like a task. It's like the joy has been sucked out of meals.
4: Feeling super run-down, kinda like I'm fighting off the flu or something. It's a daily struggle, to be honest.
But despite all these challenges, I can't ignore the positives. My control has improved tremendously. I mean, the weight loss and the great results on my diabetes checks are fantastic. It feels like a big win in that regard.
I was supposed to take my dose yesterday, but I was just feeling so overwhelmed that I skipped it. I was almost ready to throw in the towel, but I know I have to keep trying. I'd really appreciate any tips or advice you folks might have.
I've been wondering if perhaps my diet might be exacerbating the diarrhea? It seems to strike at the most random times, regardless of when or where I inject. I did notice it was particularly bad after a fruit smoothie once, so now I'm starting to connect the dots... maybe?
I also have lactose intolerance and IBS, which complicates matters further. I've been considering probiotics but I'm unsure of which ones would be suitable for me. Guess it's time to do some research!
Just to give a bit more background, I'm managing type 2 diabetes. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊
